About the role Kinship is seeking an experienced Creative Head Barista to join our team at our brand-new recovery center opening in Mid-Levels. This role (available as part time) will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee experiences and high-performance recovery beverages for our community. At Kinship, we are dedicated to creating a positive, health-focused, and supportive work environment where hospitality meets peak performance. You’re more than a skilled barista; you’re an essential guide in our community’s recovery process. As a key member of the Kinship team, you will drive the daily operations of our social cafe space, ensuring every interaction contributes to our high-performance culture. What You'll be doing Prepare and serve a wide variety of specialty coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, functional wellness drinks, and cafe food. Experiment with "recovery-first" ingredients (such as proteins and superfoods) to develop unique and innovative menu items. Provide excellent customer service, acting as a host for the recovery center Maintain a pristine and well-organized workspace, ensuring all cafe equipment and recovery lounge areas are properly maintained Assist in managing the flow of the center, ensuring a seamless transition for members moving from the cafe to our recovery services. What We're looking for Minimum 2 years of experience as a barista in a specialty coffee shop, cafe, or fast paced hospitality environment. Comprehensive knowledge of coffee origins and modern preparation methods. Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide a memorable and customized customer experience. Creative problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in the wellness and recovery industry. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively during peak hours A commitment to continuous learning, particularly regarding health, longevity, and biohacking trends. A background in wellness, specialty hospitality, or fast-paced lifestyle environments is highly valued. Flexibility to manage shift duties, including weekends and early mornings or late evenings, ensuring our community is supported throughout the day. A vibrant attitude paired with exceptional communication and bespoke customer service skills.
