Assistant Merchandiser, Apparel

Company Overview Giorgio Armani is one of the leading groups in fashion and luxury goods in the world. GA Operations HK Limited is a wholly owned sourcing operation for The Armani Group which designs, manufactures, distributes a wide range of fashion and lifestyle products including apparels, footwears and accessories, covering a range of brand names: Emporio Armani, AXIArmani Exchange, Emporio Armani Junior, EA7, etc. We are looking for high calibre candidate(s) with great passion in fashion to join our Sourcing office in Kowloon Bay. This position will be responsible for providing quality R&D support from sourcing, price negotiation, project coordination with factories and samples delivery for the assigned projects & collections. Responsibilities: • Work closely with suppliers to ensure the new products are developed according to the product specification and timeline • Manage samples, artworks, material, strike offs and lab-dips • Inspect samples and make sure they are aligned with the standard & requirements before delivery • Support cost negotiation with garment suppliers to meet company budget • To ensure proper fitting and silhouette of the garments • Provide support to the team including PLM system and handle ad-hoc duties as required Requirements: • Higher Diploma or above in Fashion related disciplines • 1-3 years of merchandising experience in the garment industry • Passion for fashion and good technical knowledge • A good team player with good communication & interpersonal skills • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel • Good command in written & spoken English, Mandarin & Cantonese • Candidates with more experience will be considered as Merchandiser
