ILLUSIONS EXPERT (FULL-TIME)

Reports To: Illusions Shop Supervisor / Shop Manager Working Hours: 10:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. (Last Entry 9:00pm)| Candidate Requirements :- • Passion for science, psychology, education, tourism, entertainment, or visitor engagement. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Confident, enthusiastic, and comfortable interacting with visitors from different backgrounds and nationalities. • Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. • Strong presentation and storytelling abilities. • Positive, proactive, and customer-oriented mindset. • Previous experience in hospitality, attractions, museums, tourism, retail, education, or customer service is preferred but not essential. • Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and peak visitor periods. Key Responsibilities:- Guest Experience & Visitor Engagement • Welcome visitors and create a positive and professional first impression. • Deliver engaging explanations of illusion exhibits and interactive experiences. • Encourage active visitor participation and interaction with exhibits. • Assist visitors in understanding the science, psychology, and visual effects behind illusion installations. • Provide recommendations on exhibit experiences and visitor flow. • Assist guests in capturing memorable photographs and social media content. • Support school visits, guided tours, corporate groups, VIP visits, and special events. • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance visitor satisfaction. Admissions & Front Desk Operations • Assist with ticketing, admissions, reservations, and visitor enquiries. • Provide accurate information regarding Museum exhibits, program, promotions, and services. • Support reception operations and visitor registration procedures. • Maintain professional presentation and service standards at all times. Retail & Merchandising Operations • Introduce and recommend Museum souvenirs, collectibles, educational products, and featured merchandise. • Assist visitors with product enquiries and merchandise selection. • Support retail sales transactions and cash handling procedures. • Promote special offers, seasonal products, and promotional merchandise. • Maintain attractive merchandise displays and visual presentation standards. • Assist with stock replenishment, inventory organization, and product labelling. • Participate in stock counts and inventory management activities when required. • Contribute to achieving retail sales and guest engagement objectives. Museum Operations • Operate across exhibition, reception, admissions, and merchandising areas as assigned. • Monitor visitor flow and assist with crowd management during peak periods. • Ensure exhibition areas remain clean, safe, and visitor-ready. • Report exhibit malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or operational issues promptly. • Support daily opening and closing procedures. Safety & Compliance • Ensure visitors comply with Museum rules, safety requirements, and operational procedures. • Maintain awareness of emergency procedures and incident reporting protocols. • Report safety concerns, visitor incidents, and operational irregularities promptly. Team Collaboration • Work collaboratively with supervisors and fellow team members. • Participate actively in staff training, operational briefings, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Support different operational functions according to business needs. • Maintain a positive, professional, and guest-focused attitude at all times.
