Project Officer (Social Work)

Appointment for 12 months with possibility of extension. Ref. T/183/26 Duties: Provide direct social work services including grief and trauma informed practice for families and people who are affected by the fire in Tai Po; train community link workers and connect families and people in Tai Po to relevant activities, groups and community resources that heal and address their needs; deliver individual and group-based support services to students, parents and school personnels of primary and secondary schools in Tai Po; assist train-the-trainers programmes for school and helping professionals; conduct territory-wide workshops and seminars on people's mental and emotional wellness, and post/traumatic stress management; manage finance matters and daily operation of the Hubs in Tai Po; and perform any other duties as assigned. Requirements A Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years' relevant post-qualification working experience in social work field; preferences will be given to candidates who are Registered Social Workers with professional experience in practicing Grief and Bereavement Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Positive Psychology or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Candidates with a Master's degree with less working experience may also be considered. The appointees should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); ability to work in a multi-tasking environment, self-motivation with a strong sense of responsibility; and ability to work independently and effectively in a team are required. The appointees will work at the Hubs in Tai Po and be required to work irregular hours (including weekday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) on a need basis.
